Film France, the national film commission
Film France, with the backing of the CNC (National Centre for Cinematography and the Moving Image), coordinates the network of official local film commissions in France.
Film France guarantees the national and international strategy for the film industry.
This network of 40 official local commissions (also known as film offices) ensures that film shoots take place in the best conditions and with the best use of local resources: crew and artists, locations, and services.
Its main role is:
• To provide information about filming and post production conditions in France (financing, regulations, logistics and so on), including help with International Tax Rebate applications.
• To promote France, its human and technical resources, its know-how and its locations, in liaison with professional bodies (association of film crews, FICAM, etc..).
• To work with the network of film commissions.
• To perform economic intelligence on the attractiveness of France for audiovisual productions.
Go to Film France for practical guides, a database of more than 17,000 locations, and information about financial aid.
Film France is the leading source of information for foreign production teams preparing film shoots in France.
Film France is a founding member of the European Film Commissions Network, a member of the International Association of Film Commissioners and the Asian Film Commissions Network.
